Q: What first drew you to flamenco?

A: Flamenco struck me as an irresistibly brazen challenge to a lifelong and rather unhappy Angst about dancing. Flamenco also presented a unique opportunity to challenge what I felt was a needlessly constraining and sadly parochial learned masculinity - right in front of a whole bunch of GREAT women! Come to think of it, now I can't remember if it was the women or all that other stuff...

Q: What do you like about Mozaico Flamenco?

A: The academy offers a tremendously fulfilling brand of fun, discipline,
camaraderie and rigor. Kasandra and Oscar bring to the Academy a wonderful balance of talent and energy, teaching skill and human understanding, along with a unique ability to get more out of their students than their students put in. The academy has brought something quite special and very positive to my life...I know it has done the same for many others as well.

Q: What do you find challenging about flamenco?

A: One of the things that I find very challenging yet highly enjoyable about Flamenco is being the only guy in the studio and yet having half the people in the room give me extremely useful tips on how to dance like one. A second thing is that flamenco gives more than it takes...and it takes more than most things.
