Our Mozaico summer was peppered with spicy performances by La China and her Chinitas.  Al Mozaico Flamenco Dance Academy performed in several community performances this summer including the Vancouver Chinatown Night Market, Festival Square at the PNE and the Latin Festival at Trout Lake!

The Chinatown Night Market on Keefer Street was a shining example of the Vancouver inter-cultural arts scene, as we performed our flamenco for Chinatown merchants, tourists and nightly strollers.  The Far East met with our fiery flamenco temperament as we performed a one hour show in the heart of Chinatown.

Joined by the great Nieto, Juan de Marias and guest cajon player, David Carmona, how could we not absolutely rock?  One of the highlights was Juan's impromptu Tanguillos with Oscar and David backin' up.

The following week, the group performed at the PNE for families on the Festival Square stage!  With Oscar Nieto out of town, Kasandra La China picked up the microphone and MC-ed the event.  She even did an impromptu kids footwork lesson to kill some time in a costume change!

Special thanks for our beloved Andrea for organizing Latin Fest!  Muah!  The gals did such a smashing performance on stage at Trout Lake for the Latin Festival, that we got on the CityTV morning news twice!  Good job!
