Q: What first drew you to flamenco?

A: Once day a friend and I passed by the Kino Cafe while there was a show, so we decided to drop in for a bite to eat. Pretty soon my friend (a violist) noticed that one of the dancers looked familiar. When she brought out a violin in the second set we both realized that she was Kasandra, a violinist we knew ten years ago from the National Youth Orchestra! After the show I was thrilled to hear from the guitarist that Kasandra had a terrific studio that turned out strong dancers. I started studying with her and have been a flamenco junkie ever since.

Q: What do you like about Mozaico Flamenco?

A: Kasandra has a professionalism and integrity that surpasses all expectation. She is constantly thinking about how to better her classes - she'll run idea after idea by you all through lunch, if you'll let her! Most importantly, she really invests herself in every single student, no matter what level. Though patient, she knows just how much to push so that you can't help but improve dramatically. For a former klutz like me to have come so far, improving every day, I can't tell you how lucky I am to be a Kasandra student!
