Walk With The Dragon is the largest community-based
fund-raising event held in Vancouver's scenic Stanley
Park. Each year, over 13,000 individuals including 600
corporate teams participate in the 7km walk along the
seawall with the longest Dragon in North America that
requires 40 people to carry. The walk is followed by
carnival game booths, food booths, and live entertainment.
This annual charitable event has long established itself
as one of the most important community activities in
Vancouver. The 18th Annual S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Walk With
The Dragon was held on Sunday, July 20, 2003. The theme
for Walk 2003 is Health and Wellness. All proceeds will
go towards S.U.C.C.E.S.S. services for youth, senior,
and family counseling programs. |
