SUMMER PERFORMANCES

Check out some sizzling summer flamenco, as Al Mozaico Flamenco Dance Academy and Mozaico Flamenco perform at several hot Vancouver events.


The 21st Annual Walk with the Dragon
Stanley Park at Lumberman’s Arch
Sunday July 16 at 10:30am
Al Mozaico Flamenco Dance Academy will perform at SUCCESS’s Annual Walk with the Dragon. The Walk With The Dragon is the largest community-based fund-raising event held in Vancouver’s scenic Stanley Park. Each July, more than 13,000 individuals, including over 600 corporate teams, participate in the 7-km panoramic walk along the seawall and the carnival at Lumbermen’s Arch, Stanley Park. Kasandra at the Kino Café on Saturday nights

Catch Kasandra at the Kino Café on Saturday nights with MORAIMA, featuring singer Jose Lara, guitarist Peter Mole and dancer Elvira. Shows are from 9:00 to midnight. Join us for an improvisational evening of dance and song over Spanish tapas and sangria. Admission is free but tables must purchase food/drink and make sure you bring tips for the performers’ infamous basket! Suggested donation: $5-$20 per person. The Kino Café is the only flamenco tablao in Vancouver, located at 3456 Cambie Street and 18th. Make your reservations now at 604-875-1998.

From Wednesday thru Sunday, the Kino Cafe offers live flamenco music and dancing by professional flamenco performers in Vancouver. Wednesdays and Sundays offer a "nuevo flamenco" show with rumbas and gypsy kings songs. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights offer flamenco puro or "pure flamenco" where the focus is profound, deep song.
