CAFÉ DE CHINITAS SPONSORS
OCHI FASHION supplies ‘East meets West’
fashion fusion in “Imagenes del Oriente”
Chinatown,
Vancouver, BC OCHI Fashion, Chinatown-based retailer, will
be providing the Chinese-Western clothing fusion for “Imagenes
del Oriente”, the first of the Café de Chinitas
tablao series at Edie Hats on June 8 and 15, 2007.
“Fashion with an Asian twist in Café de Chinitas
creates a true and bold Vancouver statement,” says Kasandra
La China, “Flamenco with a multicultural cast, the Orchid
Ensemble and Ochi Fashion? This marks the first time Mozaico
Flamenco expresses Flamenco dance with Asian fashion. We have
experimented musically with Chinese instruments such as the
Erhu (Chinese Violin) and Zheng (Chinese zither) but the fashion
is a new twist!”
Wendy Yang, owner of OCHI, sends warm wishes from China on
the opening of the Café de Chinitas series. OCHI is
an Asian-Western clothing manufacturer in Beijing and retailer
in Vancouver’s Chinatown. The retail store is located
in the heart of the Chinatown district on 121 East Pender
Street. Next time you stroll through Vancouver’s Chinatown,
make sure to stop in and try on some sexy cheong sams and
colourful embroidered tops! Mainly marketed towards European
tourists, many Vancouverites and friends have been outfitted
for wedding dresses, cocktail dresses and sequined tank tops.
Add some spice to your wardrobe and check it out!
