Q: What first drew you to flamenco?

A:Hours of sweat, aches, sore feet, and brain fog are a small price to pay for the ultimate goal of losing myself in the music and the movements, and to be able to dance purely out of emotion, but that's far off in the distance. In the meantime it's about getting my hands, feet and head to coordinate, enhance the calm, hide the bounce, keep my back down and keep my poker face on when I fumble.

Q: What do you like about Mozaico Flamenco?

A: Kasandra and Oscar are two of the most encouraging, supportive, diplomatic, knowledgeable, and friendly teachers I could ever ask for. It's wonderful having access to 2 different styles of teachers in one place. Oscar used to intimidate me because he's a genius but you soon realize he's the most approachable guy. Kasandra used to intimidate me a little but now I know all her tricks at getting us to work harder so when she scolds us, I know she still feels the love.
