The use of fingers, hands, head, feet, along with a skirt, a jacket, a hat or a shawl translates into an expressed emotion. It is full of contradiction, simple yet complex, constrained yet unrestrained. And to dance flamenco a few hours a week puts things back into perspective for me.”

“Flamenco is one of the few dance lessons I've ever taken. My interest started in Summer 2004 when I first saw Mozaico Flamenco perform. I was very impressed. I loved the form, music, culture, and most of all, the attitude of the dance. Then I saw Kasandra & Oscar perform at the Kino Cafe by coincidence. I couldn't find a reason why not to learn Flamenco and finally took my first lesson later that summer. I've been taking my Flamenco classes ever since and am continuously challenged.”
